    This position is in Schaumburg, Illinois.

     

    The Logistics Coordinator (LC) will be part of a regional team led by a Regional Market Manager and will arrange the efficient delivery and retrieval of pallets and components to and from customers by

    • Negotiating/confirming availability,
    • Monitoring inventory,
    • Setting price and
    • Verifying/processing orders.

    The LC is expected to establish effective working relationships with customers and vendors through consistently providing best-in-class customer service, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. This is achieved daily through a high-level of customer interaction, decision making and problem resolution within a timely manner.

     

    Hours:

    • 7:00AM to 4:00PM or 8:00AM to 5:00PM (Depends on Customer Account Region)
    • Monday - Friday
    • Salary based on experience

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
      • Work closing with customers at distribution centers and store level to ensure orders are executed and service is upheld.
      • Problem solving-demonstrated ability to act efficiently and effectively in resolution of customer service issues.
    • Customer Service-heavy telephone and email interaction to independently resolve issues for customers and vendors.
      • Monitor progress of shipments to ensure coverage, on-time performance and the independent resolution of any mid-transit issues.
      • Data Integrity-maintain an internal database of suppliers and customers.
    • Gain efficient supply chain execution by interacting with vendors, customers, logistics and transportation providers.
    • Billing/Order management.
    • Inventory management.
    • Vendor management including
      • Sourcing new vendors,
      • Price negotiations,
      • Commitments to significant vendor contracts, and
      • Considering and recommending alternative transportation modes.
    • Perform daily and ongoing cost analysis activities to ensure financial and growth objectives are achieved.
      • Develop recommendations for continuous improvement. 

    Qualifications

    •  2-4 years minimum experience in a supply chain position or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
    • Knowledge of supply chain/logistics processes is recommended but not required
    • The desired candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, analytical, negotiation and organizational skills in conjunction with the ability to manage multiple projects.
    • Problem solver, provide solutions to meet customer demands
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
    • Effective time management, planning and prioritizing skills
    • High level of professionalism in judgement
    • Innovative – ability to see new opportunities and think outside the box
    • Entrepreneurial attitude toward new business development
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer proficiency skills
    • Billing experience with A/R and A/P is a plus
    • Bilingual/Spanish is a plus
